Dan Spitz’ achievements as a Master Watchmaker and Watchmaking teacher are exemplary of some of the highest credentials and knowledge of vintage mechanical timepieces on the planet. He has headed up all of Chopard Watchmaking for North and South America, Leviev Watchmaking for North and South America as well as being the first and sole American Watchmaker to be allowed to work and consult on pre release in house movements longevity on all complications for Chopard. In addition, Dan is a Watchmaker speaker for Watchmaking schools such as WOSTEP the Swiss premier global curriculum administered at onset by his former WOSTEP instructor in Neuchatel, Switzerland.

Dan Spitz was taught at WOSTEP Watchmaking School in Neuchatel, Switzerland by the co-creator of the WOSTEP Watchmaking course himself, Antoine Simonin. Dan also holds a 4 year Watchmaking Diploma from the Bulova School of Watchmaking in New York, USA where he was awarded (and duly noted) to be the fastest graduate in the 53 year history of the school. Dan’s specialties are circa pre 1960 chronographs, minute repeaters, grand sonnerie, music box and hair spring fly back mechanisms. He has been inside mechanical timepieces since the age of 8 sitting alongside his Pop-pop (Grandfather).
