The vintage Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox has crossed my bench quite possibly 500 or more times for service over the years. What you are seeing above is mainly the automatic bumper unit on my bench along with some other parts.

At the time of manufacture for these watches an alarm watch was quite an achievement. I must say I have worn a memovox myself for a while. The first time you take one apart you say to yourself (as a Watchmaker) this thing is overbuilt. The bumper action is certainly something to get accustomed to. At first it’s really annoying and then when you don’t have your timepiece on your wrist you really miss the feeling later on. Something you have to live to experience.
